Recently, it has become very fashionable to talk about freshly
squeezed juices. Luckily, drinking vegetable juices isn't just a fashion
trend, it's also an incredibly healthy practice. I’ve been drinking fresh
juices myself for three years now and serving them to my whole family (as well
as friends and neighbors).
I can talk about the healing
properties of juice for hours. The amazing thing about fresh juices is
that no matter what nutritional system you follow, what diet you follow, what
nutritional philosophy you believe in, juices can always be included in any
diet. Moreover, it is very difficult to find such a sensible doctor or
nutritionist who would be against the use of vegetable juices. Scientists
can argue about the benefits of carbohydrates, dairy products, meat, sugar and
other things, but the benefits of freshly squeezed juice are difficult to deny.
Let's highlight 10 main reasons
why freshly squeezed juices should become an integral part of our diet.
Drinking freshly squeezed juices is the fastest natural way to
replenish vitamins and minerals in the body.
Freshly squeezed juices are a
cocktail concentrated in vitamins and minerals. Often, it can take a whole
kilogram of vegetables to prepare one glass of juice. Almost all of us do
not receive and do not eat the required daily intake of plant foods. With
the help of juice, we can correct this situation: it is not so easy to eat a
kilogram of vegetables in one meal, but drinking a glass of juice is as easy as
shelling pears.
Of course, juice is not a
replacement for vegetables. Vegetables are rich in fiber and are vital to
consume. Juice is like a portion of natural daily vitamins, which we need
to take not instead of vegetables, but along with them.
Why drink juice if we are
already following a healthy diet? Firstly, an additional surge of energy
and health will not hurt anyone. Secondly, if you remember what kind of
environment we live in, what kind of water we drink, what kind of air we
breathe, then additional vitamins are vital for us. Thirdly, do not forget
that over the past fifty years man has poured so many pesticides and chemicals
into the soil in which our vegetables grow that a rare worm would want to live
in it.
This undoubtedly affects the quality of the soil, which affects
the quality of our plant products. Today, we need to eat much more
vegetables in order to get the same amount of beneficial properties from them
as our ancestors once received. In other words, the concentration of
“benefits” in plant products has become lower, which means they need to be
consumed in larger quantities. The easiest way to do this is to run the
vegetables through a juicer.
Most of the vitamins and minerals that are essential for human
life can be found in fresh juices.
Many people talk about vitamins
and minerals, but few people understand what they are talking about. Vitamins
and minerals do not produce energy like protein or glucose, for example,
meaning they have no calories. However, their role is to maintain chemical
reactions in the body, without which its vital activity is impossible (some
vitamins are involved in the production of red blood cells, others in the
formation of hormones, others help our skin heal when it is cut, others help
this cut heal, etc.) . We need vitamins and minerals in tiny quantities,
but to get them we need to pass through a large amount of fresh food.
It is known that 16 minerals and 13 vitamins are vital for humans. Minerals
can be obtained from both raw and cooked foods (such as baked vegetables),
because minerals are inorganic compounds that cannot be destroyed by cooking. Vitamins
are thermally unstable; most vitamins are lost during cooking. This
doesn't mean you need to cut out cooked foods entirely; some vitamins are
easier for our bodies to absorb when they come from cooked foods.
But this means that you need to eat as many raw vegetables and
fruits as possible, as they are full of vitamins we need. Almost all the
vitamins a person needs can be found in fresh juices (with the exception of
B12) in large quantities and concentrations.
Which vegetables and fruits are the richest in vitamins and
minerals? Firstly, these are green leafy salads (kale, spinach and many
others). In terms of the richness of the “benefits” they contain, they are
not comparable to any other products. Carrots, cabbage, broccoli,
cauliflower, peppers, tomatoes, strawberries, blueberries and many other
vegetables and fruits are also “stuffed” to the limit with vitamins and
minerals. It is from these products that, first of all, it makes sense to
prepare juices.
Detox juice is one of the most effective and safest ways to remove
toxins from the body.
Our body is designed in such a
way that every day it works to cleanse itself and heal itself. For this we
are given a liver, kidneys, skin, etc. However, modern life in the city,
consumption of unhealthy food, abuse of pills and antibiotics, stress and other
factors make this process incredibly difficult and time-consuming for the body. The
body performs the main detox at night, when the digestive system is resting. And
this is very important to understand: when the body does not digest food, it
detoxifies.
A fresh juice detox is a gentle
detox system that I recommend. Since there is no fiber in juices, our body
does not have to waste energy on the complex process of digestion; instead, it
can simply absorb all the vitamins and minerals it needs to survive from the
juice, and then actively work to remove toxins from the body. This detox
does not seem stressful, the body does not starve, as it receives all the
necessary vitamins and minerals.
During any detox, people often suffer all sorts of side effects,
and the more contaminated our body is, the worse these symptoms become. However,
with a juice detox, these effects pass slowly, smoothly, almost imperceptibly,
in other words, “gently”. A good practice is to conduct short-term juice
detoxes: once a week, for example.
Freshly squeezed juice is the easiest way to change the body's
acid-base balance to a healthy alkaline side.
Maintaining a healthy acid-base
balance is very important for our body. Acid-base balance (or ph) is
measured on a scale from 1 to 14. In a healthy body, this indicator is in the
middle with a slight deviation towards the alkaline side, that is, somewhere
around 7.4. An acidic environment is a haven for the development of
diseases; All kinds of bacteria and viruses rejoice and multiply in such
an atmosphere.
You can check your ph balance
at home by dipping litmus paper into your urine. This experiment should be
carried out every morning before eating for a week, recording the indicators
every day and then calculating their average component. A one-time
experiment is not enough, because after each meal the indicators may differ. Meat,
milk, eggs, coffee, sugar, for example, have an acidic effect on our body. Greens
and most vegetables and fruits are alkaline.
Can you imagine what effect
green juice will have on the body? Of course it's alkaline. Everyday
juice allows you to achieve a neutral acid-base environment with a healthy
deviation towards the alkaline side. It is in this environment that
beneficial bacteria for the body want to live, which help us cope with dangerous
bacteria and viruses, maintain healthy digestion and provide daily natural
detox.
Freshly squeezed juice is often used in alternative medicine to
treat all kinds of diseases.
You may have heard about the
Gerson Therapy for treating cancer and other natural healing methods associated
with juice therapy. The Gerson Method, for example, is based on a natural
method of healing the body, in which juice therapy (13 juices per day) is its
main part.
Without saying at all that freshly squeezed juices are the only
and 100% cure for cancer, one cannot fail to note the incredible potential of
juice therapy to boost immunity in patients and improve their physical
condition. Considering that 80% of the diseases that people suffer in the
modern world are related to their diet and lifestyle, juice therapy seems like
a logical way to help the body heal itself.
Green juice is rich in chlorophyll.
Chlorophyll is the pigment that
makes plants, including algae, green. It will allow sunlight to feed the
plants, converting light into energy for them. For us humans, chlorophyll
plays a vital role in the functioning of red blood cells, ensuring their
health, purity and the required quantity. Chlorophyll helps our body
regenerate at the cellular level, that is, heal and rejuvenate. Chlorophyll
also has anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It
helps remove heavy metals from our body and fight candida.
The juice contains the necessary enzymes (or enzymes).
The role of digestive enzymes
(or enzymes) cannot be overestimated. Without them, no matter how much
healthy food we eat, our body cannot use it independently for its vital
functions. Digestive enzymes sort food into particles, and each particle
is used for its intended purpose.
We can eat salad every day or even switch to a raw food diet, but
if there is an insufficient amount of enzymes in our body, then we will simply
flush all the “benefits” down the toilet. The older we get, the less
enzymes our body produces (this is one of the reasons why older people suffer
from constipation).
In nature, everything is so thoughtfully arranged that each type
of product has its own enzymes, which should help process that particular
vegetable or fruit during the digestion process. The problem is that we
eat too many foods that are fried, boiled, or otherwise exposed to high
temperatures. Heat treatment destroys digestive enzymes that are found in
vegetables, herbs and fruits; Our body has to produce these enzymes at its
own expense.
This is an additional stress on the body, and depending on the
health of the individual, many people's bodies are not able to produce the
required amount of enzymes. That is why I say that some products that are
healthy in their composition “fly into the toilet”, while causing us huge
discomfort in the abdominal area: we become bloated, we suffer from gas and
pain in the intestines.
By consuming freshly squeezed juice, we deliver ready-made enzymes
to our body, separated from the fiber. Thus, enzymes enter the body, but
are not spent on processing vegetables. The more digestive enzymes there
are, the smoother the digestion process will be for us, and with it the entire
cleansing of the body.
Juice helps prevent dehydration.
The main component of juice is
water. Without sufficient fluid intake, the human body can suffer from
dehydration. We consist of 60-70% water; our body needs water to carry out
all vital processes, including cleansing, rejuvenation, removal of toxins,
temperature regulation, distribution of nutrients throughout the body, etc.
Without drinking enough water, it is impossible to be healthy and
have beautiful skin. Thus, drinking freshly squeezed juice every day helps
ensure that we comply with the norm for water consumption (about 2-3 liters per
day, depending on the person’s height and weight).
Freshly squeezed juice is the secret to longevity.
Juice is a drink in which all
substances beneficial to the body are ready to be absorbed. There is not
much left for the body to do to use these benefits: nothing needs to be chewed,
ground, broken down or dissolved; everything is ready for consumption in
the freshest form in order to spread throughout our body, giving us health. Juice
is like fuel for our body.
We all understand how important good quality fuel is for any
device. We also understand that if we treat any device with care, and do
not force it to work at maximum speed and under constant stress, then such a
device will last us longer. In other words, juice is the secret to
longevity, because it allows our body to receive the maximum amount of vitamins
without wearing itself out with the additional process of
digestion.
Natural juice helps us avoid overeating and maintain a healthy weight.
Today, the population of
developed countries cannot complain about a lack of food. You can find
anything you want in stores, both in summer and winter. At the same time,
more and more people suffer from vitamin deficiency. Moreover, as a rule,
overweight people, despite eating large portions of food, are incredibly
deficient in vitamins and minerals. The fact is that they often consume
“empty calories,” that is, their food is rich in energy (calories), but poor in
beneficial properties (vitamins and minerals). As a result, the more empty
calories people consume, the hungrier their bodies become.
The human body is an incredibly intellectually developed universe;
it knows what it needs. Therefore, if after a dinner consisting of a
cutlet with potatoes, it did not receive the required amount of nutrients, the
body will be hungry, which it will certainly and constantly remind us of,
especially closer to the night. The easiest way to satisfy this insatiable
hunger is to drink vegetable juices. Our brain will receive a signal about
vitamin saturation and will stop demanding additional food.
Conclusion
Drinking freshly squeezed juice every day can incredibly improve
the physical condition of the body. The practice in our family is
to prepare juice in the morning before breakfast (for this, all products should
be washed and cut in the evening). It is easy to accustom children to
juices by first making them from fruits, and then gradually adding vegetables
(celery, carrots or beets) and herbs. Drink as much juice a day as you
want. An overdose of vitamins from natural products is impossible; it
happens very rarely and only happens from synthetic vitamins in a jar.
Fruit juices should be kept to a minimum, as fruits are healthier
to eat whole. During the summer season, juice therapy is especially
effective: squeeze juice from everything that grows in the garden, stock up on
vitamins for the winter. And finally, and most importantly, introduce the practice
of drinking juices gradually, listening to your own body.
Be healthy!!!
